Descrição:Diuron-d6 is a pesticide that is used in the treatment of wastewater, as well as for the control of algae and weeds. It is commonly used to treat animal wastes, but can also be found in household cleaners and cosmetics. Diuron-d6 can be absorbed by plants through the leaves, stems, roots, or flowers. The main mechanism of action for this pesticide is inhibition of photosynthesis. This can occur when it binds to chlorophyll molecules in the light harvesting antennae complexes, which prevents them from absorbing light energy. Diuron-d6 has been shown to have a significant effect on plant behavior and may cause an increase in lateral roots.
