Descrição:
A-77-01 is a cytosolic, centroid molecule that has been shown to have antitumor effects. It binds to the tetradentate binding site on lapatinib and inhibits aldehyde oxidase. This inhibition leads to an increase in reactive oxygen species, which can lead to apoptosis and tumor regression. A-77-01 has been shown to bind with nitrogen atoms and fluorescent molecules, such as fluorescein, which are used for techniques such as fluorescence spectrometry. The dihedral angle of this molecule is -90°, making it a nonplanar molecule. The interactions between the tetradentate binding site on lapatinib and the nitrogen atom of A-77-01 are crucial for this drug's activity.
