Descrição:TMPA is a chelating agent that binds copper and tin, as well as other metals. It has been used in the treatment of Wilson's disease and to prevent or reverse the progression of atherosclerosis. TMPA has also been shown to be effective for the treatment of chronic kidney failure, with regimes showing high glomerular filtration rates and good chemical stability. TMPA was able to increase the levels of copper, fatty acid, and zinc in bacteria such as E. coli K-12. This product also has a low energy requirement and can be synthesized using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology. TMPA is an acidic molecule with a pKa value of 3.8-4.0 which means it can bind with metal cations under acidic conditions; this property makes it useful in applications such as polymer films and monoclonal antibody production because these processes involve low pHs.
