Informação sobre produto
2-[(E)-2-Phenylethenyl]-1H-benzimidazole (PEB) is a benzimidazole compound that has been shown to have potent inhibition against the cancer cell line MCF-7. It also has anticorrosive properties and inhibits the corrosion of metal surfaces. PEB has been shown to inhibit protein synthesis in bacteria, which may be due to its ability to bind with propiolic acid and form a molecule that inhibits bacterial growth. There are no clinical uses for this drug, but it is being studied as an antibacterial agent.
