Descrição:Vitronectin is a type of protein that is found on the surface of cells. It binds to fibrinogen and helps in the formation of blood clots. Vitronectin has been shown to be able to catalyze the decomposition of organic matter by light, which leads to its use as a photocatalyst. The nanosheet form of vitronectin can be used for immobilization of other proteins and biomolecules, including blood cells such as thrombocytes and leukocytes. This protein can also be modified with acrylic acid or other functional groups for use in surface modification or cell adhesion.
