Descrição:Darifenacin is a muscarinic antagonist that has been approved for the treatment of overactive bladder. It relieves symptoms by relaxing the muscles of the bladder and decreasing the frequency of urination. Darifenacin is absorbed well from the gastrointestinal tract, but is not absorbed through skin or mucous membranes. The drug is metabolized in the liver by cytochrome P450 to inactive metabolites. In addition, darifenacin does not bind to DNA and has no mutagenic effects.
