• Descrição: Olmesartan medoxomil is a prodrug that is metabolized to the active form, olmesartan, in the liver. The esters of olmesartan medoxomil are metabolized by hydrolysis and by esterases. This drug also has anti-inflammatory properties due to its inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis.
