Descrição:EC 17 is a biological treatment that emits light. It has been shown to have an effect on tumor cells and to increase the immune system's response to cancer. EC 17 activates the antitumor response in various types of cancer cells, including breast, prostate, and colon cancers. EC 17 also exhibits antimicrobial resistance against bacteria such as E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus. The mechanisms of action are not fully understood, but it may be due to its ability to inhibit transcription or DNA replication by binding to bacterial DNA-dependent RNA polymerase or topoisomerase I. EC 17 has been shown to have an effect on symptoms in humans with rheumatoid arthritis when used as an adjuvant therapy for methotrexate treatment. This drug has also been tested in vitro and has been found to inhibit the growth of many types of cancer cells and bacteria, including Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
