Descrição:Lathyrane is a lathyrol that is found in the roots and seeds of the plant Lathyrus sativus. It is a multidrug, microbial product that has been used for centuries as an anti-tumor agent, and more recently to treat multidrug resistance. Lathyrane has been shown to inhibit the growth of microorganisms by inhibiting protein synthesis, which may be due to its ability to modify proteins by acylation or bioconversion. Lathyrane also has been shown to be druggable.
