Trichloromethoxybenzene is a chemical substance that is synthesized by the reaction of sodium carbonate with a carbonyl group, activated with molybdenum. Trichloromethoxybenzene has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria through the use of radiation and other chemical substances as well as through its acylation reaction with perfluorinated compounds. Trichloromethoxybenzene can be used in the treatment of bacterial infections.
