Informação sobre produto
2-Methoxy-5-nitrobenzamide (2MNB) is a linker that can be used in the construction of biomolecular models. 2MNB can be used to form heteroduplexes with complementary sequences of DNA and RNA. This heteroduplex is then reacted with a derivatizing agent, such as N-hydroxysuccinimide ester, to produce an arrayed molecule where the substituents are linked to the termini. 2MNB is also useful for modelling because it has apolar properties and does not bind strongly to water molecules. Chemistry research has shown that 2MNB is a constant molecular weight, so it can be used to calibrate other molecules of known weight.
