The phosphane 1-(diphenylphosphanyl)ethenyl]diphenylphosphane is a chelate ring that contains a chlorine atom and an anhydrous sodium. It has been shown to be active against bacterial vaginosis, as well as asthma therapy. The mechanism of action of this drug is not yet known, but it has been observed to be effective in the treatment of cancer. This compound is also used for the treatment of obesity-related complications such as type II diabetes, hypertension, and atherosclerosis.
