Telratolimod is a toll-like receptor modulator that works by triggering the immune system to fight viral infections. Telratolimod has been shown to be effective against hepatitis C virus and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Telratolimod also has anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the release of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin-1β (IL-1β), as well as its ability to reduce the production of inflammatory cytokines.
