Informação sobre produto
Thiomorpholine-2-carboxylic acid is an inhibitor of the enzyme oxidase. It is a potent, reversible and noncompetitive inhibitor of the enzyme oxidase, which is used to break down a variety of substances in cells. Thiomorpholine-2-carboxylic acid inhibits the oxidation of aromatic amines, such as dopamine and phenylethylamine. This deaminating inhibitor also inhibits the formation of porphyrin rings in heme synthesis. The inhibition of this enzyme by thiomorpholine-2-carboxylic acid has been shown to be constant over time with kinetic data showing that it has a Km value of 0.25 mM, which means it binds weakly to the enzyme. Thiomorpholine-2-carboxylic acid also has photometric properties and can be used as a reagent for researchers who study oxidoreductases.
