Descrição:SYP-5 is a protein that belongs to the family of proteins called synaptotagmins. SYP-5 has been shown to inhibit tumor growth and to have other anti-cancer properties. SYP-5 binds to the cell membrane and regulates cellular functions such as meiosis, immune functions, and growth factor release. It also regulates the disassembly of actin filaments in cells, which may be an important mechanism for regulating cell shape, movement, or motility. SYP-5 is involved in a variety of cancer pathways including carcinogenesis and animal experiments. SYP-5 is also involved in prognosis because it inhibits tumor growth.
