Erbium standard is an inorganic material that is used to calibrate the wavelength of lasers. It is a synthetic material and has been made by laser ablation. Erbium standard is used for calibration of wavelength, as well as other spectrometric measurements, such as reaction systems, particle size, and mass spectrometric measurements. Erbium standard has been shown to be effective in the measurement of chloride concentration in water samples. This can be done by using optical microscopy or particle size techniques. Erbium standard has also been used to measure the rate of chemical reactions that are dependent on the presence of chloride ions.
