Descrição:
2-bromo-3,4,5-trimethoxy-benzaldehyde is a synthetic compound that belongs to the class of compounds called bismuth reagents. It is used in organic synthesis as a cross-coupling agent. This synthetic compound reacts with halides and homogeneous catalysts, such as triflic acid or palladium acetate, to form new carbon-carbon bonds. The reaction requires an excess of the bismuth reagent and is stereospecific. 2-bromo-3,4,5-trimethoxybenzaldehyde can be used to synthesize combretastatin A4 (CAS: 103760-79-6), which is a natural product that has been shown to have anti cancer activity against certain types of tumors.
