Eupalitin-3-galactoside is a flavonoid that belongs to the class of eupalitins. It has been isolated from the flowers of Eupatorium patulum and is found in a number of other plants, such as Brickellia spinosa, Patuletum vulgare, and Salvigenia eupatorioides. The characteristic 3-galactoside structure can be seen on the right side of the molecule. Eupalitin-3-galactoside has shown anti-inflammatory activities in vitro and has been used for relief from pain, inflammation, and fever by native peoples in South America.
