Descrição:2-Chlorocyclododecanone is a hydrolysing agent that is used in the production of organic chemicals. It is an aromatic hydrocarbon that has olefinic, aluminium, and carbon tetrachloride bonds. 2-Chlorocyclododecanone can be used to produce chlorine gas as well as chlorinated organic compounds. The chloride ion is generated by the reaction of hydrogen chloride with 2-chlorocyclododecanone. This product also has the ability to react with alcohols and Grignard reagents to generate organochlorides. 2-Chlorocyclododecanone can be a solvent for other substances such as solvents made from aluminium oxide.
2-Chlorocyclododecanone can be used to separate substances such as phenols and benzene from water by forming an insoluble precipitate with them.
