Informação sobre produto
3,5-Bis(bromomethyl)pyridine is a ligand that forms water complexes with metal ions. It has been shown to have a high affinity for β-cyclodextrin and hydroxy groups. The molecular structure of 3,5-bis(bromomethyl)pyridine also contains monoxide and supramolecular anions. 3,5-Bis(bromomethyl)pyridine inhibits the encapsulation of drugs in β-cyclodextrin molecules by binding to the hydroxyl groups on the surface of cyclodextrin. This interaction can be observed as a dimer of 3,5-bis(bromomethyl)pyridine with one molecule bound to each hydroxyl group on the cyclodextrin ring.
