Informação sobre produto
Ethyl (E)-3-oxo-2-(2-phenylhydrazono)butanoate is a carboxylic acid with an amide group attached. It has been shown to be active against gram-positive pathogens such as Staphylococcus epidermidis and Streptococcus aureus, as well as against Escherichia coli. Ethyl (E)-3-oxo-2-(2-phenylhydrazono)butanoate interacts with the protein surface by hydrogen bonding, and its orientation can be determined by X-ray diffraction. Ethoxycarbonyl groups in this compound are responsible for the interaction with the proteins of the bacterial cell wall, inhibiting cell growth.
