• Descrição: Tembotrione is a herbicide that inhibits the synthesis of three important plant proteins: chlorophyll, carotenoids and lipids. It also prevents the formation of new cells in plants by inhibiting cell division. Tembotrione has been shown to be effective against many weed species, such as Sesbania rostrata, but it is not active against grasses such as wheat or maize. Studies have shown that sublethal doses of Tembotrione may lead to an increase in plant metabolism, which may result in greater levels of the herbicide being broken down into harmless substances.
