1H-Pyrrole-2-carboxaldehyde oxime is a cisplatin analog that has been shown to have anticancer activity. It inhibits the growth of tumor cells by binding to cisplatin-binding sites on DNA, which prevents transcription and replication. 1H-Pyrrole-2-carboxaldehyde oxime also interacts with proteins in the cell membrane, inhibiting the release of calcium ions. This effect leads to an increase in intracellular calcium levels and results in cell death.
