Informação sobre produto
Pyrene-2-carboxylic acid is a fluorescent molecule that can be used to measure redox potentials. It has been shown to have photophysical properties, including absorption spectroscopy and fluorescence, which are sensitive to the introduction of different substituents. The shift in the fluorescence emission spectrum of pyrene-2-carboxylic acid is also dependent on its environment, making it a useful probe for studying reactions involving electron transfer. Pyrene-2-carboxylic acid is synthesized by an acylation reaction between naphthalene and acetic anhydride. The synthesis method is multigram and requires only three steps.
