Descrição:2-Bromoethylcyclopropane is a halide that has been shown to have an affinity for eosinophils and platelets. It is used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, including drugs to treat infertility, clotting disorders, and preeclampsia. 2-Bromoethylcyclopropane also has an affinity for the pyrrolidinyl and neurokinin receptors. The coordination complex of 2-bromoethylcyclopropane with copper(II) ions inhibits prostaglandin synthesis by binding to the prostaglandin synthase enzyme. This drug also solvates metal ions, such as copper(II), and forms stereoisomers with other organic molecules.
