Informação sobre produto
Ferulamide is a p21 inhibitor that has been isolated from the roots of Solanum tuberosum, Angelica dahurica and Carthamus tinctorius. It inhibits the transcription-polymerase chain reaction (PCR) by binding to the template DNA strand and preventing access of polymerase to the primer. Ferulamide also inhibits fatty acid synthesis in HL-60 cells. This inhibition is due to the inhibition of p21, which prevents cyclic AMP production. Ferulamide is cytotoxic and cell cycle analysis showed that it has significant cytotoxicity against hl-60 cells. The cytotoxicity was due to acylation reactions with cellular proteins and cellular membranes, leading to cell death.
