• Descrição: 3-Hydroxy-4-propoxybenzaldehyde is a metabolically stable inhibitor of the enzyme, phenylalanine 4-hydroxylase. 3HPA inhibits the production of phenolic compounds and reduces the risk of cancer. It has been shown to be potently active against human leukemia cells in vitro, but less active against other cell lines. 3HPA is also selective for tumor cells, which may be due to its ability to inhibit DNA synthesis by preventing the formation of n-substituted benzylamino compounds. 3HPA stabilizes DNA and RNA synthesis, which may help prevent tumor growth.
