Descrição:2-(3,4-Diethoxyphenyl)ethanamine is a quinazolone derivative that is electron deficient. It has been shown to inhibit the contractility of isolated rat ileum and guinea pig vas deferens preparations. 2-(3,4-Diethoxyphenyl)ethanamine also potently inhibits phosphorylation of myosin light chain and can be used as a tool for studying the involvement of phosphorylation in muscle contraction. It has been shown to inhibit lipid droplet formation in L6 cells by activating AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK).
