3-DroMo-9,9'-spirobifluorene (3DSBF) is an organic chemical with a hydroxyl group (-OH) at the 3 position and a carbonyl group (C=O) at the 9 position. It is a Grignard reagent and an intermediate in the synthesis of other compounds. 3DSBF is used as a catalyst for reactions that involve iodobenzene and magnesium. 3DSBF has been shown to be effective in intramolecular cyclization reactions that produce benzofurans or quinolines.
