Deslanoside is a natural compound that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of cardiac and bowel diseases. The effects of deslanoside on heart tissue were studied by a vitro method, which showed it to be an effective anti-inflammatory agent. Deslanoside has also been shown to have metal chelate activity, which may account for its anti-inflammatory properties. Deslanoside has been shown to inhibit the production of proteins in the heart muscle cells that are necessary for the contraction of these cells. This inhibition leads to a decrease in blood pressure and improved cardiac contractility. Studies have also shown that deslanoside can reduce inflammation and improve bowel motility, leading to better bowel disease management.
