Informação sobre produto
9-Phenyl-9H-carbazole-3-carboxaldehyde (PCA) is a fluorescent molecule that can be used to monitor the presence of oxygen in the environment. PCA fluoresces when it is exposed to light, and this property has been exploited for a number of applications, including monitoring of oxygen levels in animal health and nature. Functional theory has revealed that PCA's fluorescence is dependent on its oxidation state, which can be manipulated by changing the exposure time or irradiation intensity. The photophysical properties of PCA have also been studied using confocal laser microscopy and electron microscopy. In addition to its use as an oxygen sensor, PCA has also been shown to function as a solar cell material.
