Descrição:
5-(4-Hydroxyphenyl)-10,15,20-triphenyl porphine is a compound that can be used as a photosensitizer for photodynamic therapy. It reacts with singlet oxygen to form an excited state and cleaves in the presence of olefins. The cleavage is stoichiometric and cleavable, which means it will produce two products after reacting with the olefins. The cleavage occurs at lower energy than other reactions and produces less toxic byproducts.
