Informação sobre produto
2-Propoxyphenylmethanol is a compound that belongs to the group of benzyl alcohols. It has been isolated from benzaldehyde, but also found in other aromatic compounds such as benzyl alcohol and phenol. 2-Propoxyphenylmethanol has been shown to selectively hydrogenate aromatic ketones and alcohols, with the exception of benzylic alcohols, which are not susceptible to this reaction. 2-Propoxyphenylmethanol can be used for the selective hydrogenation of aromatic ketones and alcohols. The hydrogenation method is based on the use of palladium on charcoal catalyst at high pressure and temperature.
