Polysucrose is a polysaccharide that has the ability to be used as a colloidal gold marker. It is also a component of dextran sulfate, which is used in fetal bovine serum and human serum. Polysucrose can improve the stability of sodium citrate solutions, thus preventing the precipitation of citrate salts. This makes it possible to use this solution for blood transfusions or other biological applications.
