Methyl 5-bromo-6-fluoro-1H-indazole-4-carboxylate is a modulator that inhibits the activity of the enzyme cytochrome P450. It has been shown to inhibit the production of prostaglandin E2 in cultured rat hepatocytes. Methyl 5-bromo-6-fluoro-1H-indazole-4-carboxylate has also been shown to inhibit the production of nitric oxide in rat peritoneal macrophages, which may be due to inhibition of protein synthesis by this drug.
