1,5-Anhydro-3-O-benzoyl-4,6-O-benzylidene-2-deoxy-2-(N8-(dimethylamino)methyleneguanidin-1-yl)-D-altrohexitol is a novel nucleoside analogue that has shown high anticancer activity. It is synthesized from the monophosphate form of N8-[(dimethylamino)methyleneguanidin]-1′,4′-[(1,5′-(anhydro)-3′,6′-(benzoyloxy)-2′-[N2-(dimethylamino)methylene]oxymethyl]guanine].
