Butyltriethylazanium bromide (BTB) is a stilbene derivative that has been shown to be a potent anticancer agent. The exact mechanism of action is not well understood, but it may involve inhibition of the topoisomerase II enzyme, which leads to DNA damage and apoptotic cell death. BTB has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties.
