3-Acrylamido-3-methylbutyric acid is a polymerization agent that belongs to the group of monomers. It has been found to be an effective control agent for chloride, as well as a functional group in the polymerization process. 3-Acrylamido-3-methylbutyric acid can also be used to form copolymers with other monomers and has been shown to have microstructural properties. It is soluble in water and is commonly used in solution form.
