• Descrição: Carbocyclic 2'-deoxyguanosine 5'-triphosphate is a nucleotide analog that inhibits the synthesis of DNA by binding to the template strand. This drug inhibits the replication of herpes simplex virus and is being investigated as a cancer treatment. Carbocyclic 2'-deoxyguanosine 5'-triphosphate binds to the dna template strand and prevents viral DNA from being replicated. It also has inhibitory effects on telomerase, the enzyme that prevents chromosome shortening and cell death during replication.
