Informação sobre produto
Methyl chroman-2-carboxylic acid is a diastereomer of methyl 2-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)benzoate. It is an optically active compound that can be synthesized by oxidative cyclization of methyl 3-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)chroman. This reaction is catalyzed by a variety of oxidizing agents and the product obtained depends on the specific chemical used as a catalyst. Methyl chroman-2-carboxylic acid has been shown to react with tartaric acid in a 1:1 mixture to form an asymmetric ester.
