Descrição

Andrographidine C is a molecule extracted from the plant Calophyllum inophyllum. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory, anticancer, and antidiabetic properties. Andrographidine C has been found to inhibit tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) production in vitro and in vivo, which may be due to its ability to inhibit protein synthesis by binding to receptor protein. This compound also inhibits the growth of cancer cells by inhibiting DNA synthesis and cell division. Andrographidine C also inhibits the activity of enzymes that are important for protein synthesis, such as ribosomal RNA synthetase and peptidyl transferase. Andrographidine C has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties through its inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis.
