It also has inhibitory properties against neutrophil and endothelial cell proliferation, which may be due to its ability to inhibit o-glcnacylation. β-Secretase inhibitor II suppresses the growth of pancreatic cancer cells by inducing apoptosis and inhibiting inflammatory response. This drug also has been shown to have a calcium chelating property, which may be due to its ability to bind with calcium ions.
