5'-O-Methyl-D3-thymidine is a synthetic nucleoside that has been modified to contain a methyl group at the 5' position. It is used in the synthesis of DNA and RNA, as well as in the preparation of phosphoramidites for oligonucleotide synthesis. This nucleoside has antiviral and anticancer properties and may be useful for treating diseases such as AIDS, hepatitis B, and leukemia.
