Descrição:Lacto-N-fucopentaose III-GEL is a synthetic monosaccharide that is used as a building block for the synthesis of complex carbohydrates. Lacto-N-fucopentaose III-GEL is synthesized from fructose, which is methylated with chloromethylated N,N'-diacetylchitobiose as the methylating agent and sodium methoxide as the catalyst. The resulting glycoconjugate is then treated with hydrofluoric acid to introduce fluorine atoms into the carbohydrate backbone.
