Sodium cobaltinitrite, also known as sodium tungstate dihydrate, is a mineral that is used in analytical chemistry. It has a molybdenum content of about 18%. Sodium cobaltinitrite is an acid-stable reagent that can be used to detect the presence of germanium or silicon. This compound is used in biochemical analyses because it can be used to measure the concentration of various substances such as calcium, magnesium, and phosphorous. Sodium cobaltinitrite is stable up to pH 5 and will dissolve at higher pH levels.
