It is an inhibitor of autophagy and proinflammatory cytokines, and it has been shown to inhibit the receptor activity of growth factor β1 (GFβ1) in cancer tissues. 2-Furoyl-Orn-Leu-Arg-Gly-Ile-Leu is a basic protein with chemical properties that make it an ideal candidate for use as an experimental model for studying diseases such as bowel disease, neurodegenerative diseases, and diabetes.
