1-Amino-cyclohexanecarboxylic acid hydrochloride is a crystalline compound with a molecular formula of C6H11NO2. It has an empirical formula of CH3CH(NH2)COOH and a structural formula of H-N=C=O. 1A-CAP was synthesized by the reaction of methylene, sulfur, and cyclohexane. The methylene group in this molecule is attached to the carbonyl at position one. 1A-CAP has a centrosymmetric crystal structure and the parameters for its formation are:
