This compound has been shown to inhibit the activity of PTP1B with an IC50 value of 5 μM. 4-(Chloromethyl)-2-methyl-2H-1,2,3-triazole can also be used as an additive in pharmaceutical preparations for its ability to prevent aggregation of proteins.
