Descrição:NGB 2904 hydrochloride is a dopamine D2 receptor antagonist that is used to treat psychosis. It binds to the dopamine D2 receptor, blocking the binding of dopamine and preventing the activation of downstream pathways. NGB 2904 hydrochloride has been shown to have a low potential for interaction with other drugs and does not affect locomotor activity in rats. This drug has also been shown to be effective in treating psychosis in wild-type mice. In vitro assays have confirmed that NGB 2904 hydrochloride does not possess any affinity for other receptors, such as serotonin receptors, α-adrenergic receptors, or histamine H1 receptors.NGB 2904 hydrochloride has been studied in a pharmacological treatment study where it was found that this drug increased locomotor activity and decreased symptoms of psychosis.
