Lysicamine is a plant-derived secondary metabolite that has been isolated from the roots of a variety of plants. It is an analytical standard for HPLC and has been used in research and development for the production of reference materials for HPLC. Lysicamine is also used as a screening agent to identify and quantify lysine, histidine, methionine, tryptophan, and tyrosine in samples. Lysicamine is used as a reference material for quality control testing. It has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties.
